Global News Sources

When I recently cancelled my cable TV, the friendly Comcast rep had only one argument to try to keep me paying. She asked: "Don't you watch any TV news?" Wrong angle, sister. TV news ain't news, it's infotainment, with death, destruction, and pit bulls as graphic aids.

No offense to those (few) trying to be serious journalists in the swamps of television land. But I tend to get my news from the public/community radio stations and the web. If you're looking to broaden your worldly news base, places to expand your consciousness include:
