SoundRoots / Spin The Globe Top 10 – June 2011
Lots of new sounds on this month's chart, from Susana Baca's broad exploration of Afro-Latin sounds to French singer Zaz to Seattle Indo-rock band Manooghi Hi. Some of these have already been reviewed on SoundRoots, others have reviews coming. So for now, I simply suggest you explore and listen and enjoy.

Hey great blog, I'm glad I stumbled across it. I'm a sucker for a bit of 'World Music'. Although I've not listened to all the albums on the list, Seun Kuti's one is a cracker! I had the privilege to see him and his band perform a few months back. It was amazing to see all those people on stage and keep it tight, a real spectacle. Saying that I was especially impressed by Donso, the French/Malian outfit with their blend of the traditional and electronic beats, that I bought the album at the interval.
